[meta] Would Comments on Questions be possible?

Question

One difference between this software and Stack Exchange is that the latter allows comments on questions, while this site does not (unless I'm missing something).

Comments on questions can be helpful (in my experience) to clarify things before posting an answer.

I'm not sure exactly what software is running here (is it bespoke? or something off the shelf?), but allowing comments on questions would be an improvement, imo. Maybe it's easy to add/enable?

I've enabled it. I thought it would be confusing so had disabled it when we released this originally, but let's give it a try.
