Are there any official efforts/plans to introduce Clojure on Python in order to have full access to the data science, ML and AI packages? Yes I know there is Basilisp. which is fantastic but I wonder if an official leap into this arena is even remotely realistic.

The existing https://github.com/clj-python/libpython-clj project provides an excellent path to accessing these packages in Python from Clojure.

Thanks. That is a good approach. My question was more about official efforts to host Clojure on the Python AST a la Basilisp though

P.S.: Clojure is hosted on the JVM and as ClojureScript on JS. Python as a third host is the last   frontier so to speak

No, we are not planning to do that.
