should we not archive the clojure/tools.deps.alpha repository?

the clojure/tools.deps repository is forked from clojure/tools.deps.alpha

clojure/tools.deps.alpha is a repository that is no longer maintained and has warning in the readme which is the new repository, should we not archive the clojure/tools.deps.alpha repository?

There may still be existing tools using it still. Is there any benefit to archiving other than as a usage signal?

even archived it is possible to clone via git (install)

make it explicit that the repository is no longer maintained
