tools.deps - How do I list dependencies and their versions from the REPL?

I want to check which version of some dependencies I have loaded in the project from the REPL. Can it be done? How do I do this, if so?

The project I am working with is started via a rather involved script, making it a bit hard to know what version of certain dependencies are eventually loaded. I am thinking that once I have a REPL, then I have the truth.

It's a tools.deps project

List SHA if version tag not available in clj -Ttools list

If I install a clojure tool with a git SHA, in contrast to using a git tag, and then I do
clj -Ttools list
, the
Version
column in the output is empty. It would be helpful if the SHA is displayed in the case where there is no version tag.

Do I have to switch to Java 8 or 11 from 16.0.1?

Hi
I saw a comment on Clojure.org stating that it only runs on java 8 or 11. I have 16.0.1 installed. What is the best solution for me? I really do not want to download Java 11 and in a way downgrade. I am also concerned with my older projects all configured to use newer versions.
